FOR WINDOWS USERS
- When the wallpaper image has finished
loading, right-click on it.
- From the menu choose "Set as
Background" or "Set As Wallpaper." This file will be named "Internet Explorer
Wallpaper.bmp" or "Netscape Wallpaper.bmp" and will be stored automatically.
This file will be overwritten the next
time you use this method to save another wallpaper image. You can prevent this
by setting the properties of the wallpaper file to read-only (right-click the
file name in Windows Explorer, choose Properties, and check the Read-Only box).
Another way to keep your image is to set
the wallpaper manually. Right-click the image and choose "Save Picture As..."
or "Save Image As..." and store the image in a safe place on your hard drive.
The wallpaper images are JPEG files and may need to be converted to bitmap
format. This can be done by using a graphics program like ACDsee or Photoshop.
- Right-click on an empty area of your
desktop. From the menu choose Properties.
- Click on the Background or Wallpaper
tab.
- Use the Browse button to locate and
select the Wallpaper file. These images usually look best if set to Stretch
or Center under the Display option.
- Click Apply, then OK.
